This page has recordings of all the sounds in the complete IPA chart, and not just the English sounds: [1].

Here [2] is an example of an assignment of English vowel sounds to IPA symbols. And, to emphasize the idea that it's very dependent on region, here [3] is a (rather difficult) study on regional variations in the United States.

Here's a nice copy of the IPA chart from class: [4]. In this chart, they use a different symbol for the sh, ch, zh, and j sounds.
